Some JumpStart games released in 1997 included previews of other JumpStart products. The preview for JumpStart Math for First Graders contained several early screenshots that, while unfortunately only present as small thumbnails, have several differences.

A scene where Ruby talks to Frankie in a specific area of the backyard.
- The toolbar is simply a black bar that takes up the full width of the screen.
- All of the icons are different in both color and design.
- The background is much simpler and missing many elements that appear in the final version, such as the red wheel to the right of Frankie, part of the log to the right, and various flowers and leaves in the foreground.
