Having faced numerous delays before release, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach went through a plethora of changes along the way, with many mechanics and details from the trailers never making their way into the final game.

Pre-Announcement Hints

On September 16th 2020, the first teaser for the title was released after a short while of waiting from fans after the first few teasers for the game were released, the trailer caused a lot of old fans to return and hype to start stirring up at the unique spin the beloved series had seem to taken with the new environment.
- All voicelines spoken throughout this trailer are never used anywhere in the final game.
- Vanny's voice is considerably different scoring a different effect than the final game, and a different actor "Stacey Young".
- The story seems to be possibly different, as some references are found to be different, Vanny's referring to Gregory's "friends" to be worried for him (although this may just be the animatronics) note the references to Glitchtrap.
- The opening shot of the boiler room-like area is never found in the final game, however, a heavily modified/similar area appears in-game.
- In the lobby, Burntrap can be seen at the desk on the right side of the lobby. This was a cut mechanic where Burntrap would have been a hallucination of sorts.
- The back area of the lobby appears to have an early version of the atrium, appearing to be a direct entrance to the area instead of the elevators we see in the final game.
- The visual style of the game is notably different, with most objects having a more metallic matte and feel to them.
- Moon can be seen in the top-left corner of the kitchen area, where he never appears. However, there is some unused code for this event in the final game.
- Vanny never encounters the player in the way that this trailer shows, the jump-scare and sound also seem to be entirely different.
- Gregory's personality also seems to be possibly different, as he is shown to cry/weep during the trailer, in-game, the protagonist seems to be fairly fearless.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX Reveal Trailer
On January 12th, 2021, the second teaser for the title was released during an Nvidia graphics conference, showcasing improved and new environments, new lines, and some new characters.
- El Chip's area appears to have been correctly connected to the arcade area instead of having a hallway with doors between the two.
- The unused HW Freddy's theme plays throughout the shots of the mall, however, this music does not make an appearance in the final mall.
- Much like the teaser trailer, this version of the game also has a similar visual styled, objects now have more defined and realistic materials, which are (seemingly) different from the final release.
- The Mexican S.T.A.F.F Bot is also never encountered in the final game.
- The Bonnie Bowl area uses the regular S.T.A.F.F Bots instead of the Circus Baby-themed ones. Additionally, the location has two different entrances which were changed before release.
- The internal, pipe-ridden area is never encountered in the final game. (Although, does appear in an earlier build of the game as unused content)
PS5 Gameplay Trailer
- Like the Teaser Trailer, none of the voice lines are used in the final game.
- The animatronics appear to have entirely different animations.
- It is speculated that the shot of the animatronics going up the elevator might be an early version of the intro.
- Gregory's view bob (and possibly walking physics) seems to be different, but it's hard to tell just by the footage alone.
- Vanny is never seen in that red room as is shown in this trailer.
- Vanny seems to score a (possibly) different model as well as different textures, as her proportions seem slightly different (although this may just be an illusion), and her ears seem to have jiggle physics (which appear to be broken/removed in the final version of the game, explaining why they float slightly above her head.)
- There is no scene where you're watching Vanessa through the elevator, though it's likely that this was replaced by when she catches you.
- In this trailer, Gregory is in possession of two party passes, which is impossible in the final game through normal means.
- When Gregory checks the Faz-Watch, the screen is displayed directly from the Faz-Watch on his model instead of switching to a different screen, several differences with the UI are present from the final release.
- A wallpaper showing off an unused version of the Main Atrium, Including these Changes:

- 2. Table placements
- 3. The Fazer blast sublobby sign is the same color as the entrance sign.
- 4. The sparkles by the sign in the sub lobby are semi-light blue.
- 5. The screen beside Bonnie Bowl is a pizza AD.
- 6. Where the tarps cover up the bottom of the atrium there seems to be a line of ATMs.
- 7. RR sub lobby blimp has an AD for Roxy cola.
- 8. Different layout/decoration for the corner of the Screenshot.
- 9. No hiding spots.
- 10. Bonnie bowl door seems to use door design 3.
- 11. Fazer Blast doorway to the sub lobby uses a daycare door

- The redroom is a scene in the final trailer, showcasing flickering lights whilst Vanny strolls down the corridor, eventually moving into the camera with a "hush" symbol.
- The lights appear to flicker a orangish-reddish color while she is moving, Vanny does not seem to effect any sort of lighting in the game itself, however, there's a possibility that in the original teaser trailer for the game, this functionality was originally there, at the end of the teaser, Vanny jump-scares the player with the background being a bright red, (although this may be due to the glitch effect) and something similar happens in the February trailer, where Vanny strolls down a tight hallway with similar lighting conditions.

- Where the Foxy statue is there seems to be some kind of rocks lining what seems to be the edge of the wall
- There are rocks lining up against the corner of the wall where the pirate ship is
- No daycare toys acting as a ramp to get up to the dock which connects to the stair case
- The Staircase Used the same type of texture as the floor
