Electronic Gaming Monthly
Issue 071 (June 1995)
Appears to be showcasing a later build than the April 24 prototype. The magazine states that the version being showcased is "Only 20 percent complete."
- Some of the weapons use early names, such as "Nuke" for the Barn Blaster and "Triple Shot" for the Three-Finger Gun.
- Listed alongside the rest of the weapons is one called "Slime Gun" which was cut from the final game.
- The graphics for the Barn Blaster are not yet finalized.
- Jim is using the same pose for the Three-Finger Gun as he does for the Plasma Blaster.
- The Homing Missile appears more like a missile instead of a small house.
- The "DIRT" level has a boss fight with Pedro Pupa implemented.
- The Skull on the cart in the "Carnival" level appears to be smaller.
Early Cover Art
On November 15, 2020, Michael Koelsch (original cover artist of the first two games) produced a limited set of never-before-seen art posters commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Earthworm Jim 2.

- An extensive coverage of Mike's art and the history of "Boxing Jim".
- E3 1995 footage of the first playable build of Earthworm Jim 2 along with the "bunny ears" cover art.
- Mike's comprehensive layouts of the Earthworm Jim 2 cover art for Playmates Interactive.
- Doug TenNapel doing various voices of Jim with David Perry at E3 1995.
