Unused Tracks
April Fools 2020
For April Fools Day 2020 three songs from Pokémon Red and Blue replaced the standard Pokémon Center, Team Maker and Exploration Themes. They remain in the files, now unused and unlikely to be used again.

April Fools 2024
Similarly to the 2020 April Fools event, another song from Pokémon Red and Blue replaced the Pokémon Center theme. This time being the infamous Lavender Town song (due to a blackout caused by Volkner). This might never get used again.
Unused Jingles
Named jingle_get_code. Doesn't seem to be used for anything?
Named jingle_demo_legend_pm01, The Intro to Legendary Events. No longer used because the Legendary Adventures lacks the Legendary Event opening movies where this plays.
Scrubbed Tracks
The only song to be straight up overwritten is "Battle! Ash" also otherwise known as "1・2・3", which is the opening theme for the Pokémon Journeys anime. This song played in a Special Event named Challenge from Ash that could be played once per day from August 28th 2022 until September 27th 2022. On the final day of the Event (September 26th), an update was released which replaced "Battle! Ash" with a 1-second no audio file. Effectively removing it from the game.
Even after not giving Ash a Song Key it seems like DeNA were ordered to remove it once the collaboration had ended, likely due licensing/royalties issues.

Naming Oddities
Any theme that regards regions uses the initial letter of the region's name (Kanto, Johto, Isshu in Unova's case). Kalos uses the letter C as Kanto already uses K.
Battle! (Alola Trainer) is named bgm_battle_gl_a. The other battle_gl themes are the various Gym Leader themes. Likely because the theme was only meant for Alola's Captains before more region-specific Trainer themes would get remixed later.
Battle! (Sinnoh Frontier Brain) is named bgm_battle_fb_js. The S references Sinnoh while the J references Johto, where Pokémon Platinum's Battle Frontier was also ported to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver with small changes.
