Cherrim's Sunshine form has both an unused front and back sprite frame for a sending-out animation, which is normally impossible to see. Cherrim always enters the battle in the Overcast form, even when the sun is already active. These sprites are carried over from Pokémon Platinum.

There exists an unused second animation frame meant for Cherrim's Sunshine form in the Pokémon menu, which is unused as the menu will always show the Overcast form. The first frame can naturally be seen in the Pokedex. The sprite is exclusively found in HeartGold and SoulSilver and doesn't exist in Diamond/Pearl or Platinum.
Pokéathlon

Arceus Event
The NARC file located at a/0/2/4/5
contains the assets for the Sinjoh Ruins cutscene. It includes the following unused images. The file names are taken from the leaked HGSS source code (files at the ld_arceus
folder).
The arc02
image is part of an earlier set of drawings of Arceus' face.
The big10
image seems to have palette issues.
The egg01
image is part of an earlier set of sprites for the hatching egg.
The circle
images are leftovers from early revisions of the scene that included Arceus's sprite embedded onto the image (instead of overlaying it). The geometrical shapes also appeared in a different order (the big circles first, and then the details).
The rest of the images (culture
, disaster
and nature
) seem to be just stock images. However, they don't seem to come from the Sozaijiten library like the used assets (which might be one of the reasons they ended up unused).
