This is a sub-page of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror.

In Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, object 8E is an object used twice in the game to load two particular cutscenes: the fight between Dark Meta Knight and Meta Knight, and the Warp Star chase into Dark Mind's final phase. However, this object houses more cutscenes that are never seen in regular gameplay, or early versions of other cutscenes that are triggered by separate objects. Please keep in mind that the stages where the cutscenes below being triggered aren't the correct ones - they're only there for demonstration purposes.

Cutscene 00

By setting the object's behavior to 00. it will load an early version of Kirby encountering Dark Meta Knight's defeat. In this early version of the cutscene, the Kirbys seem to get confused as to what's happening to Dark Meta Knight, spawning an an unused question mark graphic above their head when the screen shakes. Then, they get visibly shocked when he shatters, also accompanied by another unused graphic.

Other times, it might partially load an alternate version of this cutscene where Kirby turns around when he spawns the question mark above his head. Why this happens is unknown.

The final version of this cutscene is triggered by the Dark Meta Knight object instead of this object.

Cutscene 01

Cutscene 01 is a cutscene meant to be used after the Kirbys get sucked into Dark Mind's portal. Here, the screen flashes white, and the Master Sword appears, alongside its prompt asking the player to get it. After it ends, the player regains control of Kirby, but the sword itself cannot be collected.

More often than not, this cutscene will fail to spawn the sword, and will instead corrupt one of the palettes of one of the Kirbys present in the cutscene.

In the final game, there's no special cutscene for this event.

Cutscene 03

Cutscenes 03 and 04 (as well as anything beyond cutscene 06) will result in nothing. However, if triggered while in-game, they will generate a game reset when entering a mirror door.

Additionally, if triggered when starting the game, the cutscene will instead display pure white for a good second, and reset the game.

Cutscene 05

Setting the object's behavior ID to 05 triggers functionality to display a broken version of the cutscene that happens right after Dark Meta Knight shatters. Here, collision isn't disabled, so when the screen shakes, the Kirbys land on the ground multiple times before getting sucked into an incorrect spot of the current stage instead of the portal. If Kirby somehow gets close enough to another trigger point of this cutscene, he will succesfully get sucked into the portal and initiate Dark Mind's first phase. The Dark Meta Knight object triggers this cutscene instead of object 8E in the final game.
