Unused Vehicle

Just Cause has an unused plane called the Stirling STL-3 Octavio. It could be seen in pre-release screenshots, as well as the Prima Strategy Guide released for the game, but does not appear in the game at all.

However, data for the Octavio still exists in the game in the form of ARVE_014_Civilian_Plane.ee and is still fully functional. It even has sound files packed into ARVE_014.sab and ARVE_014.sab, which is another indicator it was removed very late into development.

The plane can be spawned into the game by replacing the .ee file path of a Heavy Drop vehicle with that of the Octavio. For example, replacing the first instance of "LAVE_011_Motorbike.ee" in the game's memory with "ARVE_014_Civilian_Plane.ee" lets you drop the Octavio by selecting the Agency Dirt Bike. Undoing all memory modifications after the fact is required as the string is longer than any Heavy Drop vehicle, so the modification will partially overwrite the file path of the next vehicle in the list.

The Octavio exists in all releases of the game, and a .pnach cheat file for the PlayStation 2 release exists for use with PCSX2, which drops an Octavio if you press L1 then drop the Agency Gyrocopter:
