Contents
Debug Dice Function
The Pro Action Replay (PAR) code 009A7AEA will cause the normal dice roll for both human and computer players to be replaced with this prompt allowing you to enter a dice roll value from 0 to 99.
Entering 0 will cause you to stay at your current location, but may crash the game if it's a computer player's turn. Values higher than 9 are also possible, but use incorrect graphics, and values higher than 16 are buggy and may lock up the game or corrupt memory.
Debug Venture Card Function
A function for debugging venture cards also exists in the game. Set RAM address 7E:0AC4 to 01 during a game to enable it.
After drawing your card from the board, you will be allowed to choose what card it will actually act like. Most cards work fine on any board, but some, usually special warp cards, will crash the game if they are chosen on boards they don't normally appear on.
Unused Break Handler
A screen originally used for debugging BRK instructions exists, but is no longer used. Pro Action Replay (PAR) codes 00FFEAE0 00FFEBFB will cause it to appear as soon as the codes are activated.
The screen shows the status of the processor registers as well as a region of memory. Left/Right switch the current memory bank between 70 (save RAM), 7E/7F (system RAM), and 00 (low RAM/ROM), and Up/Down move forward and backward within the current bank.
Unused Graphics
Dice
An unused ninth side for the dice. No board ever used a roll higher than 8, though this ninth side can be seen using the debug dice function.
Area icons
Unused icons for areas 11 through 16. No board has more than 10 districts normally. These graphics can actually also be seen when using the debug dice function if you set your roll to 20 or higher.
Unused Text
Some additional unused text can be found in the ROM.
At 72672, the text ENTER MESSAGE NO can be found, along with some data suggesting a message test once existed. However, no code exists that references this text or data.
At 160A9F, text for a scene select exists, but is similarly unreferenced:
ヒ゛ンコ゛ ルーレット しんけい スロット タィトル1 タィトル2 タィトル3 エンテ゛ィンク゛1 エンテ゛ィンク゛2 エニックス ほりい
The text translates to:
Bingo Roulette Shinkei Slot Title 1 Title 2 Title 3 Ending 1 Ending 2 Enix Horii
Build Date
At the beginning of the ROM, the following text can be seen:
TOMCAT SYSTEM Co.,Ltd. 93/12/23 10:51:03
