So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

God of War II is the sequel to the hit 2005 action game, once again starring an angry bald man who yells a lot and destroys everything he sees.

High-Resolution Mode

Hmmm...
To do:
Add some comparison screenshots. Also check the Korean and Japanese versions for this.

The original US (NTSC-U) version contains a secret high-resolution mode which increases the framebuffer size from 512×448 to 640×480. According to the developer who revealed it shortly after the game came out (Tim Moss), this mode was hacked in at the very last minute and did not go through full QA testing.

To activate it, hold L1 + L2 + L3 + ◻ (Square) + ○ (Circle) immediately as the game begins loading, before the copyright text appears. If done correctly, the copyright text will be a bright shade of magenta instead of the normal white.

Despite being officially unsupported and having apparently been a last-minute addition, the game is perfectly stable and playable in this mode with little to no loss in performance. It also supports Progressive Scan and 16:9 settings, just as the standard-resolution mode does.
