Pokémon

Noibat

Early designs for Noibat, looking slightly different from the final. It had more direct relevance to fruit bats, as labeled, which would later be described in the Ultra Sun/Moon Pokédex; it therefore featured several different colors depending on habitat, or the real-world geography in a similar way to Vivillon in the final.

Furfrou

Concept designs for all of Furfrou's alternate designs, all of which changed a bit in the final. There's also a furless design for it that didn't appear in the game at all.

Flabébé

XY ConceptArt pmkujira 713.png
An early version of Flabébé, with a completely different design that lacks a flower.

Floette

XY ConceptArt pmkujira 714.png
An early version of Floette, again with a completely different design that lacks a flower.

Florges

XY ConceptArt pmkujira 715.png
An early version of Florges, with a design that somewhat resembles the final, but completely lacks the flower motif. In a file that had all three stages in one, two alternate designs were found hidden for it:

The first one has slightly different eyes, whereas the second one is much more different.

XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110330 02 ALT1.png XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110330 02 ALT2.png
A scrapped two-stage set of chameleon Pokémon. May have been shelved due to an overlap with Kecleon. Three different designs are present for them, with slight differences between them. The final two revisions were found hidden in the file that has both of them together in the same image.

Flamingo Pokémon

XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110428 03 ALT1.png XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110428 03 ALT2.png
A scrapped flamingo Pokémon. The main image file contains two hidden alternate drawings that include an alternate pose and a slight design revision where the tuft on the back of its head is smaller.

Diving Beetle Pokémon

XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110531 02.png
A scrapped two-stage set of diving beetle Pokémon, as the text refers to them as.

"Rudder" Pokémon

XY ConceptArt kitakaze poke 002.jpg
A scrapped small fish-like Pokémon was found with no additional information about it. Bears a resemblance to a boat's rudder.

Cassowary Pokémon

XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110330 01.png XY ConceptArt poke kitakaze 110330 01 ALT.png
A scrapped two-stage set of cassowary Pokémon. May have intended to be a fossil Pokémon. An alternate version was present hidden in its file that changes the red feathers to be more pink.

Peanut Pokémon

XY ConceptArt 新ポケモン案 江尾01.png XY ConceptArt 新ポケモン案 江尾02.png
A scrapped two-stage set of peanut-themed Pokémon. The initial listing for Pokémon in X & Y listed a two stage Nut and Nut Dragon Pokémon, which were eventually replaced by the Gogoat line.

Mega Forms

Venusaur

Several concepts for Mega Venusaur, depicting it much chunkier and larger than it ended up being, as well as looking quite different from its normal form altogether. Some designs had a few different colorations hidden within the image files.

Blastoise

Mega Blastoise has several concepts that depict it, again, much chunkier than the final and its normal form. It also appears with a bushy mustache and tail, similar to Wartortle's ears and tail. These features are reminiscent of MissingNo Index 181, Wartortle's original evolution from Pokémon Red and Green's prototype stages, which Blastoise replaced. Given this information, it seems this design was trying to call back to that design and marry the two concepts.

Charizard

XY ConceptArt 繝ェ繧オ繧吶・繝医y繝ウ5 2.png

Several different designs for Mega Charizard X/Y, most of which come in multiple color revisions. Unlike the previous two starters, these resemble the final designs a little bit more closely, but were still changed up a fair bit for release.

Mewtwo

A couple different concepts for Mega Mewtwo Y, with a few different color variations.
