A robot fighting game that is perhaps one of the most over-hyped titles of the 16-bit era, which is saying something. The game had excellent prerendered graphics and may or may not feature music from Queen's Brian May (depending on the version), but the gameplay was considered bad - if not downright awful - by almost everyone who played it at the time. It didn't help that gaming magazines were invited to the developer's studio ahead of release, only to not be allowed to play the game.
Despite all this, it managed to be successful enough to warrant a sequel, Rise 2: Resurrection. While certainly an improvement over the first game, it still wasn't all that great and sold poorly.
