Elektronorgtechnica (Электро́норгтехника), a.k.a. ELORG (Элорг), started life as the Soviet Union's state-sponsored computer company, later going private during the country's dissolution. It's best known outside the former Eastern Bloc for being the original rights-holders to the Tetris franchise thanks to creator Alexey Pajitnov being an employee of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, thus making his portfolio there government property. ELORG was ultimately absorbed by The Tetris Company in 2005, giving Pajitnov and Henk Rogers full ownership of the franchise.
