This page details bugs of Sonic the Hedgehog CD (2011).

Very Low Clear Time
Activate the final checkpoint in any level, then wait until the timer hits 10 minutes (while moving around enough to prevent Sonic from jumping off the stage). The player will be taken back to the checkpoint, but with the timer reset to 0, allowing for a very fast stage clear time which will even be counted on the leaderboard.
Note that this cannot be done in Time Attack since checkpoints aren't set in levels in that mode.
Debug Mode Time Travel Softlock
With Debug Mode active, switch to item placement mode right when the time travel sequence begins. If done correctly, the green background will be at the top-left, all of Sonic's sprites during this sequence will be in the bottom-left, and the time travel sound will play as normal, but the player cannot progress any further.
Metallic Madness Bad Future with all Time Stones
For whatever reason, the player can end up in the Bad Future version of Metallic Madness Zone 3 even after having collected all of the Time Stones. However, this will not affect the ending of the game.
This is also known to occur in Wacky Workbench and Stardust Speedway.
Incorrect Display of the Hurt Animation
In Metallic Madness Zone 3, if the player gets hit at the same time as they are changing planes, Sonic will glitch out, showing various random sprites, before returning to normal.
Missing Spikes in Quartz Quadrant's Boss
On more recent versions of the mobile phone ports, if you continuously run without stopping from the final conveyor belt before the Quartz Quadrant 3 boss, and hit the boss fast enough, the spikes on the left never reach the arena, letting the player stand still and beat the boss easily by using the Super Peel-Out. If you go slower, the spikes appear as intended.
Tidal Tempest Act 1 Background Bug
If the player uses a well-timed Super Peel-Out and a nearby Tonbo at the beginning of the Act to reach above the ceiling, then the background will be broken, only showing the top part several times as the screen scrolls vertically.
Miscolored "See you next game" Background
In the remaster, the background of the "See you next game" screen was altered and presumably bugged. Originally, it used a single shade of blue, but in the remake, it features two different shades of blue on both halves of the screen.
