In-Battle Item Effects
The in-battle effects of the Kooky Cookie (made by having Tayce T. cook a Cake Mix and either a Koopa Leaf, Stinky Herb, or Maple Syrup) and Electro Pop (made by having Tayce T. cook a Cake Mix and Volt Shroom) differ from their respective descriptions:
- The Kooky Cookie's description says it causes Mario to be afflicted with one of three random status effects (Invisible, Electrified, or Sleep) and heals 15 FP. However, it actually heals 30 FP.
- The Electro Pop's description says it electrifies Mario and heals 15 FP. However, it actually sets Mario's FP to his current HP + 15 (e.g. if Mario has 5 HP when used, his FP will be set to 20). Additionally, the flower icon that appears when using it will always show 15, regardless of how much FP Mario regained.
Both items heal their descriptions' amounts of FP outside of battle.
Tree Switch Crash
To do: See if it works on the Japanese, PAL, and iQue versions. It may be the key to see the crash handler on a non-American system. |
On the way to Koopa Village, there is a switch in a tree that you need to hit to continue. If you are attacked by an enemy after you hit the tree (you know if it will work when you see the switch falling as the battle starts), when the battle is over the game will crash onto the crash handler.
Egg Bomb Crash
In Chapter 5, using the Double Dip badge and throwing an Egg Bomb at Lava Piranha will cause the game to crash for seemingly no explainable reason.
Floating Exception Crash
In Bowser's Castle, there is a room that you need to use Lakilester to access. However, you can jump into the lava in order to trigger the loading zone. If done correctly, you will be taken inside, but due to an error related to respawning Mario the game will crash with a floating point exception.
