Battle Blaze is a wholly unremarkable one-on-one fighter with a medieval theme.

Regional Differences
Every character, except for Lord Gustoff, has different names in the Japanese and North American versions:
Japan | North America |
---|---|
Faud | Kerrel |
Rangle | Lang |
Filea | Tesya |
Shazzer | Shnouzer |
Werleck | Adrick |
Gliformoth | Autarch |
Japan | North America |
---|---|
In addition, Filea/Tesya was given tights on her legs for the latter version, most likely because her costume was considered too revealing. (Even though Faud/Kerrel's outfit is more revealing...)
Oddities
Unfinished Move Inputs
Both Lord Gustoff and Shazzer/Shnouzer have movement inputs listed to do their ranged attacks in both Japanese and English manuals; claiming the move can be done just like by holding back and hitting Y. Gustoff's chain mace is even described as his signature move and is displayed in his character artwork.
However in the actual game, only their AI counterparts can perform this move contrary to the information in the manual or the other characters with ranged moves.
