Hmmm...
To do:
The GIFs are not perfect. I'll have to redo them when I get a moment.

Apollo 13 is a pinball machine based on the film of the same name. It is notable for its 13-ball multiball mode, the largest of any pinball machine ever made, and for its conspicuous lack of the film's top-billed actor.

Revisional Differences

Cast Roll

The text font is changed, and Clint and Jean Howard were added in later. Note that at no point is Tom Hanks billed anywhere - probably because Sega didn't get approval to use his likeness by the time the game went into production.

Docking Mission

This screen is restructured in later versions. In version 1.00, the "Next Award" line is blank until the third hit, after which it reads "Next Award: Extra Ball". Later versions make it more clear how many shots award the extra ball, and move the CSM closer to the LM for each hit.

The award animation is moved to the end in later versions.

13 Ball Play

The main "13 Ball Play" screen is entirely redone after version 1.

Later versions also add a special "13 Ball Jackpot" animation.

Unused Sounds

Two voice clips are stored on the ROM that are never used. They may have been used in the hidden video mode (see "Prerelease Info").

Sound Dialogue
