Hmmm...
To do:
Prerelease pics from IGN on the Wayback.

Animorphs is a game that tries really hard and fails even harder to be Pokémon. Marco was right when he said, fighting Aliens with only a dog morph is the most impossible video game ever.

Sub-Page

Miscellaneous tidbits that are interesting enough to point out here.
Notes

Unused Music

Hmmm...
To do:
Verify if the first song in the GBS file is used anywhere in the game.

The full intro tune lasts approximately 56 seconds before looping, however only 23 seconds of it are heard in-game before it is cut off.

Song Names

Every song is given a name in the game's code which is never seen in the game. They were meant to be shown in Fatass, the tool used by the developers to create the game's soundtrack. The full list can be found in the notes page. Some of the more interesting ones are listed here.

This one can be found at 0x27CA7:

TEMPLATE

Incidentally, this song is unused, but it's just silence anyway.

Present at 0x2C007:

INTROA

This is the name given to one of the songs that plays during a battle. The name suggests that it may have instead been used for the intro in an early build of the game.

Present at 0x32625:

WORLD1

This is the jingle that plays at the start of each mission. Why it was given THAT name is anyone's guess...

A particularly juvenile one can be found at 0x3612E:

SHATURATOR

Another juvenile one can be found at 0x37180:

And finally, at 0x38007:

FAGGAGS

Unused Animals

There are 2 fully implemented animals, Gorilla and Eagle, that can't be encountered in the game.

Unused Aliens

Visser 1 is partly implemented, has a name but placeholder graphics for the overworld and battle.

Alien 1 to 14 are only placeholders.

Hidden Fifth Mission

There is a hidden fifth mission accessible through a secret password:

Dqrkhpy!
Yy1yx3y!

The mission is fully playable, but no new passwords are generated so it has to be completed in one segment. In the mission, you control Ax and save the rest of the characters trapped on an Andalite ship... or something. You have to rescue your friends and defeat Visser 3 to clear the mission and see the credits. However, you can fight Visser 3 before freeing all of your friends; doing so disrupts the game's triggers and softlocks the game.
