Bundled with the V.Smile, Alphabet Park Adventure is merely the easiest game ever. The premise is that Grandpa presses the wrong button causing the power rings to go loose, so it's up to the kids to get them back as "WITHOUT THEM, ALPHABET PARK WILL SHUT DOWN".

Hmmm...
To do:
  • There are some unused intro cutscene text that was different from the final.
  • Replace the remaining images with clean, PNG screenshots.
  • Get screenshots of the revised version of the game that are missing.
  • Add various sound rips of these differences.
  • There are tons of regional differences from the Chinese release such as new voice lines, loads of new menus, an exclusive mini-game, and more.

Unused Text

A few parts of text is unused such as "Hurry!" found at 000DFAF0, and "Buoy" at 000F5B20 on the original version of the game.

Intro Cutscene

Inside the game's files is text from an earlier version of a cutscene which starts at 000F57D0 on the first revision.

Oh wow, We've come to Grandpa's Alphabet Park
Uh-oh, where's Grandpa?
Help me! I'm in a control room.
The whole park is disrupted
I need you to go the control room of each theme land and fix the machines
Ok grandpa, I'm coming
I'm on my way, Grandpa

Unused Font Characters

The game's ROM contains various unused characters in its font, including characters such as "@", "{", and "}". These characters are present in many regional versions of the game, including American.

New Game

The Chinese version has also re-arranged some elements from the options menu into the new game menu.

Original Chinese

  • Original has difficulty selection, while Chinese version has a music toggle
  • The menu options are smaller, excluding the checkmark and cross buttons on the lower right corner.

Revisional Differences

Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

Title Screen

Chinese Version

  • The Chinese version first shows the title screen, then fades to the menu that usually appears when you select the Learning Adventure option in the other releases.
  • The hot air balloons are separated and in different spots in the Chinese version.
  • The logo is moved a little more to the upper right corner in the Chinese release, along with a new logo exclusive to this release.
  • A train is added in the empty spot of the Chinese release where the menu options of the other releases would have been.

Revised Version

  • Revision uses new character designs.
  • Logo was moved more to the center.
  • The hot air balloons are moved slightly up.
  • Some of the leaves on the tree are missing on the revision's title.
  • Grandpa is not present.

Revised Version

When VTech released the Mark 2 V.Smile, an updated version of the game was included with it, featuring several changes:

Original Revised
  • The narrator's voice has been replaced with a younger woman-like sounding voice.
  • Sing Along is added to the main menu.
  • The two generic kids (the red-haired girl and the boy with the egg-shaped head) are replaced by Jack (normal-looking boy) and Ashley (the blond-haired girl) from the Zayzoo games.
  • Grandpa is absent from the main menu.
  • The voices in the cutscenes were updated. Aside from that, the character voices were also updated.

Intro Cutscene

The newer design revision adds one new line of dialog.

Hi,Kids! I pressed the wrong button on this power ring machine!

Level Changes

Toy Shop

Hmmm...
To do:
  • When trying to do this for a screenshot, I was unable to stand on the tracks in the original version. Please check to see if this wasn't just a one-time glitch.
  • See if the regional difference is also in the revised version of the game.
  • The music was changed to that of the title screen in the original version.
  • In the revised version, the player can actually fall through the train tracks unlike in the original version, where you were able to walk on them.
  • In the French version, the first two balls do not appear when played on Easy.

In the original version, the egg-headed boy has two actions: looking with the magnifying glass, and playing with a yo-yo.
