Tecmo World Cup is a soccer game that is based on Tecmo World Cup '90 even though there were no World Cups in 1992 and that the game was not done by Tecmo.

A SIMS sign is loaded into memory but it is not used in either version.

Regional Differences

'92 was removed in the intro even though the US version still kept to its original timing. Also on the background, the '92 was replaced by a soccer ball.

The logo was redrawn to remove the '92 and the soccer ball. The SIMS logo was also removed and extra copyright info was added.

Gameplay

During a match, in the Japanese version the two halves were known as TOP HALF and LATTER HALF. This was corrected in the US version as FIRST HALF and SECOND HALF.
