In mid-November, the December 1997 issue of CoroCoro was published, continuing on the theme of introducing three characters per issue. These characters were Kurt, a Fisherman, and a Kimono Girl. Kurt was specifically described as a non-trainer character, but his role in the game was still unknown.[1]
