Development Timeline
2000-01
- "Boing" is created as a tech demo for Presto Studios' new realtime game engine.
- Presto decides to turn the tech demo into a full game. The original concept was "Animaniacs-esque".
- Microsoft steps in as the game's publisher after seeing the concept.
- Over time, the game's tone shifts to the edgier tone seen in the final game.
2002
- October 8 - Whacked! is released in North America.
- November 29 - Whacked! is released in Europe.
2003
- January 16 - Whacked!: Giriyaba! Rantou Party TV! is released in Japan.
