Title Screens

The old title screen that was used from the SAGE 2019 demo to the Beach & Forest Patreon builds. There's control instructions on the top right and three options can be selected; starting the game, going to the options, and erasing a save file (which in this case only resets the settings and adds variables for the SAGE 2019 Cowboy Tasks). Starting the game will redirect the player to the characterselect room. This room also crashes without modifications, because of the aforementioned Cowboy Tasks reliance.

A work-in-progress of an updated title screen that was worked on around the release of the April 2021 Patreon build. Compared to the other title screens, the player can freely walk around. A cutscene plays of Peppino reading a book before the Pizza Tower logo drops from above. Pressing any button lets the player continue.

In the room, the telephone stand is used to access the options (instead of pressing the Pause button, which the player can't do while in here), a door redirecting to the level select, and three doors that represent the three save file slots. Entering one of the three doors will redirect to the character selection screen. Grabbing the bomb on the right and trying to enter one of the three doors deletes a save file, and sends Peppino to the other end of the room.

Interestingly, the opening cutscene is programmed to teleport the player to this room due to the rooms' creation script containing a bunch of important global variables, but this room is also set to immediately send the player to the used save file selection screen (internally titled Mainmenu).

First used: Tester Builds Last used: Peppino's Xmas Break

A simple cutscene that shows Peppino and Santa flying towards the Tower. It originally showed, like the name says, Peppino on his scooter crashing on a rock to be sent to the Tower entrance. This was notably seen in the SAGE 2019 Demo. It also was the first title screen for the game all the way back to the tester builds.

Last modified: Early Entrance Level Patreon build

A short cutscene that would've played when reaching the next floor of the tower. It was last used in the October playtest build, and replaced with Gerome operating an elevator in the final game. The object and associated sprites were removed, leaving only a background with some black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.
