This is a sub-page of Minecraft: Java Edition/Version Differences.

1.7, The Update that Changed the World, was a major update to Minecraft released on October 25, 2013, which added many new biomes, new generated structures, new flowers, stained glass, better networking, new commands, and more.

Like a few other updates before it, this update has the misfortune of the normal update (1.7) being a pre-release, and the normally minor update (1.7.2) being the final version.

Even worse, the update was split into two parts, 1.7.2 and 1.7.4. The smaller ones will be put on this page while the others will have to be put onto the sub-pages.

Thankfully, however, this was the last update to do so.
