Hold the service coin button (MAME default 9), then do a soft reset (MAME default F3). Once SERVICE SWITCH ERROR shows up, let go of the service coin button and press P1 insert coin, P1 insert coin, P1 insert coin, service coin, P1 insert coin (MAME defaults 1, 1, 1, 9, 1). You will be taken to a round select. (This is the same code used in The NewZealand Story and is documented in MAME's driver source code. It is also used in Insector X and The NewZealand Story, however until now, only The NewZealand Story was known to have this code.) This works in all versions of the game.
